In conjunction with federal, state and local agencies, N.E.E.D Inc., is responding to the outbreak of COVID-19, the disease caused by 2019 novel coronavirus. We will operate in accordance with our Inclement Weather Policy, which follows each counties school schedule. As you are aware on Saturday, March 14, 2020 Governor Cooper issued an executive order, saying all North Carolina schools will be closed, Monday, March 16, 2020 and the closure will last at least 2 weeks.
Our number one priority is the health and safety of our families, so we have put a plan in place to clean and disinfect all N.E.E.D Inc., Head Start facilities before accepting returning students once we are able to reopen.
Plans are evolving daily and we understand the challenges this closure may cause for families. It is our goal to check in with families throughout the time our locations are closed. We are working on ways to continue to support families with food, other community resources and activities to do with children at home.
